**Still In the research process**

CURRENTLY READING:

I am currently reading “Forgotten Turmoil: The Southeastern Kentucky Ku Klux Klan”, written by a cousin of ours, in his attempt to set the record straight on a generations-old rumor created by members of the KKK, who sought revenge on one of our cousins, the Sheriff, for his alleged interference in their klan activities.

I am excited to finish this book and place it into context of our family tree, to see which branches were for the activities of the Letcher and Pike County klans, and which branches were opposed, and as a result, had their families targeted, killed, or their names smeared publicly, any objection to which would certainly widen that target.
